Materials

Wood stocks: teak (the classic — heavy, dense, naturally water-resistant), iroko (lighter than teak, similar performance, more sustainable sourcing), padouk (deep red, dense, heavier than iroko but visually striking), and laminated stocks (alternating layers of teak + bubinga or iroko + walnut for a stiffer build that resists twisting).

Metal: solid brass for muzzles and trigger insert (corrosion-proof in salt water, easy to machine accurately), stainless 316 for the shaft and the band-anchor pins. We avoid plain steel anywhere it touches water.

Lines: dyneema for the wishbone (quieter on release, easier to replace at sea than wire), and a 1.5 mm dyneema shooting line. Bands: 16 mm or 18 mm rubber from a Spanish supplier we trust — bands are consumables and we deliver every gun with a spare set.
