Picture frame

Wooden picture frames are deceptively hard to do right — the corners are 45° mitres that have to close perfectly, and a 0.2 mm gap reads on a wedding portrait at arm's length. We cut on a stop-block sled for repeatable mitres and use spline reinforcement in the corners (visible from the back) so the joint will not open over decades.

Profiles: simple flat (modern), bevelled (classical), or stepped (gallery). Woods: oak, walnut, ash, or maple, with optional gold or silver leaf along the inner edge. Glazing: museum acrylic on request — UV-blocking, anti-reflective, lighter than glass.

Gallery sets are priced per frame with a small bundle discount; we can also build a coordinated wall layout (six frames across, mixed sizes) on request, with the spacing template included.
