Cabinets

Built-in cabinetry is where carpentry and architecture overlap. We measure the wall, the ceiling height (often not flat), and the floor (often not level), then design the carcasses to absorb the variance with adjustable feet and scribe-able edges. The end result is a piece that looks integral to the wall, not parked against it.

For freestanding pieces — sideboards, dressers, media cabinets — the same care goes into the back. We put in a real solid back rather than a 3 mm hardboard panel, because freestanding pieces move with the room and a flimsy back twists the carcass over time.

Hardware: Blum or Hettich slides and hinges as standard, brass or blackened-steel pulls picked from samples in the workshop. Soft-close everywhere; we test every drawer for catch-and-glide before delivery.
